Overview

Clean light, clear glass, no black edges

A washroom mirror is more than a sheet of glass on the wall. In a Dubai bathroom it has to throw clean, shadow-free light for grooming, stay clear through a hot shower, and survive years of humidity without the edges going black. We make washroom mirrors that do all three.

At Solo Dream we design and fabricate washroom mirrors in Dubai to any size and shape: backlit and front-lit LED mirrors, anti-fog demister mirrors, frameless and metal-framed mirrors, smart mirrors and mirror cabinets. Each one is cut, glazed, wired and finished in our Al Qusais workshop.

The thing most off-the-shelf mirrors get wrong in this climate is the back. Ordinary silvering corrodes at the edges in a humid bathroom, the grey creep you notice later as black spots. We use copper-free, moisture-sealed silvering and seal the edges, so the reflection stays clean long after a cheaper mirror has started to spot.

Light is the other half of the job. A backlit mirror gives a soft floating glow for ambience, a front-lit mirror puts even, shadow-free light on the face for makeup and shaving, and tunable LEDs let you change the colour of that light and dim it to suit the hour. We match the lighting to how the room is used.

Because we build to order, the mirror fits the wall and the vanity exactly, in the shape you want, round, oval, arched, pill or rectangular, rather than the nearest catalogue size. Made-to-measure work also means no overseas shipping wait.

A lit mirror is an electrical fitting in a wet room, so the install matters as much as the mirror itself. We mount it level and secure, seal the edges against moisture, run low-voltage wiring, and have the supply connected by a licensed electrician to the bathroom-zone rules.

Types

Washroom mirror styles we make and fit

The right mirror depends on the lighting you want, the look of the room and how much the bathroom has to do.

Backlit LED washroom mirror with a halo glow above a double vanity

Backlit LED mirror

LED strips behind the glass throw a soft halo onto the wall, so the mirror seems to float. A modern centrepiece that lights the room as much as the face.

Front-lit LED vanity mirror giving even, shadow-free light above a bathroom sink

Front-lit vanity mirror

Light placed around or across the face for even, shadow-free illumination, the right choice for makeup, shaving and skincare at the basin.

Anti-fog demister mirror staying clear while steam fills the rest of the bathroom

Anti-fog / demister mirror

A heated pad behind the glass keeps the surface warm so steam cannot condense, leaving the mirror clear straight after a hot shower.

Frameless bathroom mirror with a clean polished bevelled edge above a vanity

Frameless mirror

Clean polished or bevelled edges and no frame, for a minimal look that suits almost any bathroom or powder room.

Bathroom mirror framed in a slim matte black metal frame above a vanity

Framed mirror

A slim metal frame in matte black, brass, gold or chrome that frames the glass and ties in with the taps and fittings.

Smart bathroom mirror with a built-in digital clock display and touch controls

Smart mirror

Touch controls, a Bluetooth speaker, a clock or weather display and USB charging built in, for a bathroom that does more than reflect.

Bathroom mirror cabinet with hinged door open showing concealed shelving and lighting

Mirror cabinet

A mirror that opens to concealed shelving, often with lighting and a shaving socket inside, keeping the counter clear and tidy.

Custom oval and arched mirrors mounted together on a feature wall

Custom shapes

Round, oval, arched, pill or fully bespoke mirrors cut to your design, for a hallway, dressing room or a statement bathroom wall.

Lighting

Where the light sits changes everything

The position of the LED decides what the mirror does: set a mood, or light the face.

AmbienceBacklit

Light behind the mirror washes the wall in a soft floating glow. More about mood and a sense of space than task light.

GroomingFront-lit

Light around the face removes the shadows under the eyes and chin, the clearest light for makeup and shaving.

Best for the face
MinimalEdge-lit

A thin line of light around the perimeter, a clean modern accent that lifts the mirror off the wall.

AdjustableTunable

Switch the light between warm 3000K and cool 6500K daylight and dim it, so one mirror suits morning and evening.

For grooming, the quality of the light matters as much as its position. We fit high colour-rendering LEDs, so skin tones, makeup and colour look true under the mirror rather than washed out, and a touch sensor lets you dim the light or change its warmth without a switch on the wall. Warm light suits a relaxed evening, while a cool daylight setting sits closer to natural light for a close shave or detailed makeup, and most of our mirrors hold whichever setting you used last, so the light is right the moment you walk in.

Why a made mirror

What a proper washroom mirror gives you

A good mirror is the first thing you use each morning and the last each night.

Light that works

Even, high colour-rendering light shows true skin tone and colour for grooming, with none of the harsh shadows an overhead fitting casts.

Clear after every shower

An anti-fog demister keeps the glass steam-free the moment you step out, so there is never a fogged mirror to wipe.

Made for the humidity

Copper-free silvering and sealed edges stop the black-edge corrosion that ruins ordinary bathroom mirrors in this climate.

Sized to the room

Built to your wall and vanity, in any shape, rather than squeezing a nearest-fit catalogue mirror into the space.

Safe and tidy

Low-voltage wiring, IP-rated parts and a licensed connection keep a lit mirror safe beside a basin and a shower.

colour-rendering, so skin tones, makeup and colour read true under the mirror's own light, not washed out.

Options & extras

Specify the mirror to the bathroom

Add the lighting, comfort and quality that suit the room.

Anti-fog demister

A thin heated pad bonded behind the glass warms the surface so steam cannot settle on it, and it switches on with the lights. After the hottest shower the mirror stays clear, with no wiping and no demister spray to keep buying.

Colour temperature and dimming

Tunable LEDs move the light through warm white, neutral and cool daylight, and a touch sensor dims it between a low glow and full brightness. Most mirrors remember the last setting you used, so the light is right the moment you walk in.

Smart features

Add a Bluetooth speaker, a USB charging point, a clock or temperature display, motion activation or a magnifying spot, turning the mirror into a quiet piece of bathroom technology rather than just a reflective surface.

Glass and silvering quality

We use copper-free, moisture-sealed silvering on quality float glass, with the edges polished or bevelled and a safety backing film so the mirror holds together if it is ever knocked. That backing matters in a family bathroom.

Frames, shapes and sizes

Frameless with a clean edge, or framed in matte black, brass, gold or chrome, in any size and in round, oval, arched, pill or rectangular shapes, all cut to your measurements so the mirror fits the wall it is made for.

Humidity, steam and safe wiring

Three things a mirror has to handle in a Dubai bathroom.

Dubai bathrooms are harder on a mirror than most. High outdoor humidity, long hot showers and air conditioning that swings the surface temperature are exactly the conditions that make a cheaper mirror fog over, spot at the edges and fail early. Here is how we build around each of those.

Built to survive the humidity

Ordinary silvered mirrors are made for dry indoor walls. The mirror standard ASTM C1503 itself notes they are not intended for consistently humid places, which is why a cheap bathroom mirror creeps with black edges within a year or two. We specify copper-free, moisture-sealed silvering and seal the edges, so the silver behind the glass does not corrode in the steam and damp.

Clear after a hot shower

A heated demister pad behind the glass keeps the surface a touch warmer than the steamy air, so condensation never forms on it. Wired to come on with the lights, it means no fogged mirror and no wiping a hand across the glass before you can see yourself.

Safe wiring in a wet room

A lit mirror is an electrical fitting beside a basin and a shower, so the protection rating matters. We fit components rated to the IEC ingress-protection (IP) ratings, commonly IP44 for a mirror zone, run low-voltage wiring where we can, and have a licensed electrician make the final connection to the bathroom-zone rules.

How we work

Measure, make, fit

Four steps, with a licensed electrician for the connection.

01

Survey and sizing

We measure the wall and the vanity, check the viewing height, the power point and the humidity, and agree the size and shape.

02

Choose lighting and features

You pick backlit, front-lit or edge-lit, the colour temperature, the demister and any smart extras, and we confirm the spec and a firm price.

03

Fabricate

We cut the glass, apply the copper-free silvering, build in the LED, demister and controls, and finish the edges or frame in the workshop.

04

Install and connect

We mount the mirror level and secure, seal the edges, and a licensed electrician makes the supply connection safely.

Where they go

Mirrors for homes and busy washrooms

The same mirrors, specified for the room and how hard it works.

Villa and apartment bathrooms. A backlit or front-lit LED mirror with a demister suits an ensuite or family bathroom in Arabian Ranches, Jumeirah or the Marina, sized to the vanity and matched to the taps.

Powder rooms and dressing areas. A statement shape or a framed mirror lifts a guest cloakroom or a dressing room, where the look counts as much as the light.

Hotels and serviced apartments. Consistent, hard-wearing mirrors with demisters and even lighting, made to a repeatable spec across many rooms and delivered to a programme.

Salons, spas and gyms. Bright, true-colour grooming light and tough, sealed mirrors for high-traffic washrooms and styling stations that are used all day.

Care & repairs

Looking after a washroom mirror

Cleaning. Wipe the glass with a soft, damp cloth and a little mild detergent or a streak-free glass cleaner, then dry it off. Keep ammonia and harsh sprays away from the edges, where over time they can creep under the silvering, and never let cleaner pool along the bottom edge.

Demister and electrics. The demister and the LEDs look after themselves, and an occasional wipe of the touch sensor keeps it responsive. If the light ever flickers or dims, it is usually the driver behind the mirror rather than the mirror itself, and that is a quick swap.

Repairs. We service what we install right across Dubai, replacing a failed driver or demister pad, resealing an edge or realigning a heavy mirror, so a small fault never means a whole new mirror. Spare parts are matched to your model and finish.

The wider range

Glass and aluminium from one workshop

Mirrors are one part of the glass we make. On a bathroom or full renovation the same Al Qusais workshop supplies shower glass partitions to match the mirror, along with the wider run of aluminium and glass doors and slim sliding doors for the rest of the home. Ordering the mirror, the shower screen and the doors together keeps the glass, the finishes and the fitting under one team, with one point of contact for the whole job, survey through to aftercare.

Where we install

Apartment ensuites in the Marina and Downtown, villa bathrooms in Arabian Ranches and Jumeirah, plus hotel, salon and gym washrooms citywide: we make and fit throughout Dubai and the UAE.

Questions, answered

Washroom mirror FAQ

How much does a washroom mirror cost in Dubai?
As an indicative guide, plain made-to-measure mirrors start around AED 400, backlit or front-lit LED mirrors with a demister from about AED 1,800, and large combined or smart mirrors up to roughly AED 6,500. Size, the lighting style, the demister and any smart features set the figure, so we measure and quote each mirror.
Are LED bathroom mirrors worth it?
For a bathroom, yes. An LED mirror puts even, shadow-free light right where you need it for grooming, without a separate fitting casting shadows, and tunable, dimmable light suits both a bright morning and a softer evening. It also looks far more finished than a plain mirror under an overhead light.
How does an anti-fog mirror work?
A thin heated pad behind the glass warms the surface so steam cannot condense on it. It is wired to switch on with the lights, so the mirror stays clear straight after a hot shower, with no wiping and no demister spray to keep on hand.
Do bathroom mirrors corrode in Dubai's humidity?
Ordinary ones can, going black at the edges within a year or two as the silvering corrodes. We use copper-free, moisture-sealed silvering and sealed edges, which are made to resist exactly this, so the mirror stays clear far longer in a humid Dubai bathroom than a standard one would.
Can you make a custom shape or size?
Yes, that is most of what we do. We cut mirrors to any size and to round, oval, arched, pill or bespoke shapes, so the mirror suits the wall and the vanity rather than the nearest standard size. Because we make it here, there is no overseas shipping wait.
Are LED bathroom mirrors safe near water?
Yes, when fitted correctly. We use IP-rated components suited to a mirror zone, run low-voltage wiring where possible, and have a licensed electrician make the connection to the bathroom-zone rules, so the mirror is safe to use beside a basin or a shower.
Can the mirror have Bluetooth and smart features?
Yes. We can build in a Bluetooth speaker, USB charging, a clock or temperature display, motion activation and a magnifying spot, alongside the lighting and the demister, so the mirror does a good deal more than reflect.
How long does a mirror take to make and fit?
A plain mirror can be quick. A custom LED or smart mirror usually takes several days to fabricate, then a short visit to fit and connect it. We give you a clear timeline along with the quote so you can plan the bathroom around it.
