Fujairah sliding doors on site
Recent east-coast installs, from a beach house at Al Aqah to a Corniche apartment in Fujairah City, with a look inside the Al Qusais workshop too.
Sliding doors on the Gulf of Oman coast
Fujairah sits apart from the rest of the country, the one emirate facing the Gulf of Oman rather than the Arabian Gulf, with the Hajar mountains rising straight off the shoreline. Sliding doors suit that landscape almost too well. A slider runs its panes sideways along a track rather than swinging them into the room, so a beach house at Al Aqah, a Corniche flat in Fujairah City or a villa under the mountains at Masafi can give a full wall to the water or the peaks. We build the doors at our Al Qusais workshop in Dubai and fit them the length of the east coast after a measure that costs nothing.
The emirate runs in a thin strip between the mountains and the sea, from Dibba in the north down past Fujairah City toward Kalba, and a slider works the whole of it, throwing open a sea-facing veranda or a mountain-facing room with no leaf reaching into the floor space. Here the build is set against warm Gulf of Oman humidity, the salt that rides in on the morning breeze and a sun that arrives early over the water.
Everything below is Fujairah alone: the districts we cover, how a door is put together for the humidity, the salt and the local approvals, what it costs, and the way a job is run from our Dubai base. Quickest path to a firm number is to book the free measure.
The deeper reference on tracks, leaf counts and glazing lives over on the sliding doors guide; this page stays on the Fujairah coast. When you would sooner a wall concertina back on itself than ride a track end to end, the same workshop also makes folding doors for the emirate.
Sliding doors across Fujairah
From the beach resorts and dive coast in the north to the city seafront and the mountain villages, here is where Fujairah turns to sliders.

Al Aqah
The emirate’s beach-resort strip, where the Hajar mountains run down to the diving coast off Snoopy Island. Full-height sliders open a beach house straight onto the sand and the warm sea.

Fujairah City & the Corniche
The emirate’s working capital and its seafront promenade. Sliders draw light into apartments and hand a balcony over to the harbour and the Gulf of Oman.

Dibba Al Fujairah
The northern beach town where the mountains crowd the shore. A sliding wall brings the quiet bay and the rocky headland up to the living room.

Al Faseel
The settled seaside district close to the city centre. Wide sliders open a family villa onto a shaded garden or the coast-road frontage.

Sakamkam & Madhab
Residential neighbourhoods spreading inland from the seafront. Lift-and-slide runs hand the living room and majlis over to a private rear garden.

Mirbah & Qidfa
Coastal villages south of the city, beach plots and palm gardens. Sliders here face the open water, so the gear is picked for the shore.

Masafi & the mountain road
The mountain town on the road in from Dubai, set among wadis and bare rock. Here a slider gives the lounge straight over to the peaks, the cooler upland air right outside.

Rul Dhadnah & Sharm
The string of beach hamlets running up toward Dibba. Sliders open a seafront home to the sand with nothing underfoot to step over.
We also reach Kalba and Khor Kalba to the south, the resorts around Al Bidyah and its old mosque, and the mountain plots out past Wadi Wurayah. Fujairah is long and narrow, but the coast road ties it together, so wherever the opening sits, beach or hillside, the free site visit gets there.
Salt, humidity and the east-coast sun
Fujairah works a sliding door hard in its own way: warm, damp air off the Gulf of Oman, salt carried in on the sea breeze, and a sun that climbs early over the water onto east-facing glass. Build the door for it and the panels stay cool, quiet and easy-running for years; miss a step and a coastal slider clouds, stiffens and bleeds heat. We set the emirate’s doors up for all three at the design stage.
Big glass and the EtihadWE bill
A wide pane facing the morning sea takes the sun at its lowest and strongest, so the glass has real work to do. A thermal break in the frame with a low-emissivity double-glazed unit holds that heat outside, and on a fully east- or south-facing wall triple glazing pays for itself. The UAE’s own energy-efficiency standards push the same way, and the cooler the room runs the lighter your EtihadWE bill reads through the summer.
Gulf of Oman salt, humidity and the track
The east coast is humid, and humid salt air is harder on hardware than dry heat alone. It settles on the rollers and the track first. We answer it with stainless rollers, marine-grade fixings and a finish baked hard onto the metal, riding on a drained track with a brush seal that keeps the channel clear. That is what holds a Fujairah door gliding, a step from the beach at Al Aqah or back under the mountains.
Fujairah permits and approvals
Slot a new door into an existing opening at the same width and sign-off is rarely needed. Widen the hole or touch the structure and the job goes to Fujairah Municipality, whose planning and building section audits the drawings before work begins. We follow the emirate’s codes and, at the survey, say plainly whether an application is needed.
Getting the details right for Fujairah
Lift-and-slide for beach-villa spans
Fujairah’s beach houses and mountain villas lean toward big openings, and big openings want lift-and-slide. Lift the handle and the leaf floats off its seal to roll under one hand; drop it and the panel settles onto a continuous gasket. It shifts a 200kg-plus pane easily and seals far harder than a basic roller, which tells on an exposed seafront at Al Aqah or a windy mountain plot.
Glazing for the morning sun
East-facing glass meets the sun as it comes off the sea, low and bright, so the glazing has to earn its keep. A low-E double-glazed unit suits most walls; a bedroom or lounge taking the full sunrise over the water may want triple glazing to hold the room cool and keep the cooling load, and the bill, in check.
Hardware for salt and humidity
This choice sets how a Fujairah door ages. Salt-resistant stainless rollers, marine-grade screws and a baked-on coating brush aside the damp, briny air along the coast at Dibba, Al Aqah and the city seafront. Specify it for anything close to the water and the door keeps sliding with no more than the occasional wipe.
Flush thresholds for beach terraces
A beach or pool terrace looks right when the floor inside and the deck outside sit flush. We bring the threshold up level with the slab, so the step down to the sand or the boards simply goes, and angle the drainage to push a sudden squall outward rather than back over the tiles, handy on a coast that does get rain.
Slim sightlines for the sea and the peaks
When the view is the Gulf of Oman, or the Hajar wall behind the house, the frame should keep quiet. A slim interlock and a narrow edge keep the eye on the glass, and where the structure permits we set the frame back into the reveal so the line all but vanishes against the water or the rock.
Tracks, leaves and glazing
Fujairah pulls from the national range, set up for a humid east-coast emirate. A standard door runs anything from a pair of leaves up to four across a track, some panes fixed and some sliding. For the long, heavy spans of a beach house or a mountain villa, lift-and-slide does the lifting. Send the leaves sliding one behind the next on a multi-track, or into a pocket built into the wall, and the opening reads almost clear; a slide-and-fold hybrid lifts a wall away entirely when the design asks for it. For the glass itself, a sheltered inner door can keep plain single panes, while sun- and salt-facing walls step up to laminated low-E or triple units.
Profiles, layouts and glazing are covered in full on the sliding doors guide. During the Fujairah visit we shape the system to your opening, how it meets the morning sun, its distance from the sea and any approval the job calls for.
Sliding doors across a Fujairah home
On the east coast these are the beach, seafront, mountain and family walls owners most often ask us to turn into moving glass.
Beach-resort homes
Throw a beach house at Al Aqah or Mirbah open to the sand, a whole wall of glass rolling clear toward the sea.
Mountain-view rooms
Give a Masafi or Dibba lounge over to the Hajar peaks, the cooler upland air just beyond the glass.
Corniche apartments
Pull the light and the harbour into a Fujairah City flat, and turn a balcony over to the promenade and the Gulf of Oman.
The majlis
Open a majlis onto its courtyard through a glass wall that rolls aside for visitors and closes to a tight, cool seal.
Resorts and hospitality
Fit a beach chalet, a dive lodge or a seafront cafe with a wall of sliding glass that throws the room open to the water while holding the cool air inside.
frame warranty backs every sliding door we install along the Fujairah coast, with a 5-year guarantee on the glazing and spare parts held at the Dubai workshop.
What sliding doors cost in Fujairah
We price a slider by the panel, so a small two-leaf set stays light on the budget while a long beach-house span scales with its glass. The number is fixed once we have measured.
A single pane per aluminium leaf, powder-coated to the house colour and set on a roller track. Best for indoor openings and verandas set a good way back from the spray.
A thermal-break frame, low-E double glazing for the morning sun, coastal-grade rollers on a drained track. Where most Fujairah homes should begin.
The strongest lift-and-slide gear, the slimmest frames, laminated low-E or triple glazing and full beach-house spans, for seafront and mountain villas.
As a yardstick, expect a four-leaf slider on an Al Aqah beach house or a hillside villa, thermally broken and coastal-grade, to come in between AED 11,000 and 14,500 fitted; a two-leaf Corniche apartment set can open near AED 3,900. Larger, heavier glass sits nearer the upper end of that band. There is no delivery charge out to the east coast, and the survey is free.
How we bring a slider to Fujairah
One crew handles the measure, the build in Dubai and the fitting on the Fujairah coast.
Free site visit
Over on the east coast, we measure the opening, study the slab and lintel, and weigh up the morning sun, the view, the sea salt and any approval the wall needs. There is no charge for that visit.
Fixed quote and design
Next comes a written quote that names the number of leaves, the track type, the glass and the finish, every line set by how big the opening is, how much it weighs, how exposed it stands to the sea and any rule that bears on it.
Fabrication in Al Qusais
Back at the Al Qusais workshop the panels and their tracks are cut, welded, coated and glazed, usually a week or two on from the visit.
Delivery and install
We run the system over to Fujairah; on site we level the track, hang and tune the leaves, seat the seals, fit the locks and walk you through the care. Delivery and the on-site fitting are both covered by the quote.
Sliding doors fitted across Fujairah
We cover Al Aqah and Dibba, Fujairah City and the Corniche, the coastal villages and the mountain road at Masafi, all with a free site visit.
